Bradford district pub given new lease of life thanks to fresh look

A well-loved pub in Shipley has been given a new lease of life thanks to a fresh look.

The Fox, located in Briggate, unveiled a new front as part of a refurbishment following a shopfront grant from the Shipley Towns Fund.

The pub received £8,500 through a grant scheme aimed at improving shopfronts.

Blake Whitehead, who runs The Fox, said: “We’re open seven days a week and pride ourselves on being a welcoming hub where people can come to enjoy each other’s company.

“The work means the outside of the pub now reflects that.

“The new frontage looks fantastic, and it has been really well received by locals and new customers alike, and we’re delighted with the results.”

The funding supported replacing the 1980s dilapidated shopfront, which was leaking and poorly insulated.
