A Bradford law firm has hired two more lawyers to strengthen its construction practice area.
Gordons has announced the addition of a senior lawyer and a solicitor, Mark Smith and Haiqa Baig, to its team.
Mr Smith joins from Addleshaw Goddard and specialises in construction and engineering disputes.
He has 25 years of experience and has advised clients in various sectors, including retail, education, transport, energy, utilities, water, and power.
Meanwhile, Ms Baig was previously at Shoosmiths and is experienced in contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
Richard Piper, a partner at Gordons, said: “Mark and Haiqa are excellent additions to our expert construction team.
“Mark is a highly regarded lawyer whose knowledge and expertise is already providing our clients with additional insights and commercially effective advice.
“Haiqa is an ambitious and proven operator with a track record of securing positive results for clients across a wide range of construction matters, and she is continuing to do so at Gordons.”
The firm’s construction clients include GMI Construction, Bridgecore Developments, United Living Group, and Evri.
Gordons has offices in Bradford and Leeds, and staffs 170 employees.
Their client base also includes retailers AO, Iceland Foods, Morrisons, Ocado Retail, and Wren Kitchens, as well as drinks company Molson Coors.
