Businessman helps to tackle loneliness during City of Culture year

A KIND-hearted Bradford businessman is helping to spread joy among lonely people as part of City of Culture year.

Imran Khan, owner of IK Collections on Westgate, is inviting those who feel they need some company into his store for refreshments and friendly chat.

It is an initiative he started during Ramadan last year – and it was so successful he has decided to continue it.

Imran said: “Anyone in Bradford who may be feeling lonely can visit us any time.

“It’s a chance to come in and sit down with us for a tea or coffee, some lovely cake and delicious biscuits in the surroundings of our wonderful shop.

“It’s also an opportunity for people to have a friendly chat if they want to.

“It’s all free – we’re always really keen to try and spread some happiness, and this coincides with Bradford’s year as City of Culture.

“Giving something back to the community is really important to me and everyone else here at IK Collections, so we look forward to seeing people.”

People can just walk in to IK Collections at 164 Westgate or call 07525758025 for more information.

IK Collections can also be contacted via its Facebook page.
