Carers looking for ‘career and not just a job’ wanted as business expands in Bradford

A FAMILY-RUN homecare company has announced plans to create at least 20 new jobs as it expands into Bradford.

Caremark Leeds Bradford is seeking to attract more people into the caring profession and join its 120-strong workforce.

After facing increased demand for services from publicly and privately funded clients across West Yorkshire, it is set to bring more homecare services to Bradford.

Caremark Leeds Bradford, run by managing director Farina Tayub with the support of her care manager daughter Thameena, recently moved to new headquarters in Leeds on the Quayside Business Park.

The business outgrew its previous premises in Headingley and has opened a satellite office at the Euroway Industrial Estate in Bradford.

Farina said: “We were already providing our homecare services up to the border between Leeds and Bradford, so it was a logical step to extend into the city itself.

“This forms an important part of our growth plan, and we are now looking forward to helping even more people to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes.”

Carers help with anything from simple things such as meals and household chores to more complex care for people with disabilities.

Farina, who set up Caremark Leeds Bradford in 2008, said: “We want to continue growing in the right way and this means having carers who enjoy their work and see caring as a career and not just a job, receiving excellent training, pay and benefit and clear progression.

“We can offer part-time hours and flexible working arrangements. It’s a great chance to have a really positive impact on people’s lives as well as joining our family-run company which genuinely cares.”
