Company takes part in effort to clear more than 35kg of litter from streets

A company has joined the fight to keep West Yorkshire clean.

Lindström UK took part in the Big Bradford Clean Up by clearing litter from around its Bradford laundry site on Royds Hall Lane and the nearby main road.

Volunteers collected more than 35kg of rubbish – equivalent to 15 bags – in a single effort.

A spokesperson for Lindström UK said: “Supporting the Big Bradford Clean Up was a practical way for us to contribute to the local area around our Bradford site on Royds Hall Lane.

“It made an immediate difference to the environment around us and showed what can be achieved when businesses take action in the communities where they operate.

“As Lindström marks 25 years in the UK, this initiative was a meaningful way to reflect our role as a responsible local employer and to put our sustainability values into action in a visible and practical way.”

The clean-up effort also gave the team an opportunity to engage with residents who stopped to ask about the activity, which gave the team an opportunity to explain the initiative and Lindström’s involvement, creating a positive point of contact with the community alongside the work being carried out.

Lindström UK said the clean-up reflects the importance of supporting the communities around its sites, as well as its wider focus on sustainability through practical local action.
