A West Yorkshire alternative banking provider is putting financial inclusion in the spotlight with an industry event.
Ilkley-based OnePay, who support people excluded from traditional banking services, will host Credit Union Connect at its headquarters in Mayfield House, Lower Railway Road, Ilkley, on Thursday, March 12, from 3pm to 7.30pm.
The event will bring together credit unions, fintech partners, and industry experts for an afternoon of insight, discussion, and collaboration focused on financial inclusion and expanding access to financial services.
A spokesperson for OnePay said: “OnePay is a business that was born and continues to grow right here in Ilkley.
“While we now operate on a national scale, our roots remain firmly in Ilkley.
“From our headquarters here, we work with partners across the UK to support workers, communities, and credit unions.
“As we continue to grow our work with credit unions, this event is an important milestone for us, and a great opportunity to showcase the impact being driven from Ilkley.”
The agenda includes expert talks on digital payments and sector innovation, a panel discussion on empowering members through partnerships, networking opportunities, and product demonstrations.
Attendees will also be able to preview new services, with the day concluding with an informal evening reception including food and drinks.
OnePay encourages anyone interested in attending Credit Union Connect to RSVP via its website.
The spokesperson said: “We would also love the opportunity to be featured in Ilkley Gazette to highlight OnePay’s local growth story and the national impact we’re making from West Yorkshire.”
