Family-owned manufacturing company supports cause close to its heart

A FAMILY-owned Bradford manufacturing company has given a £1,000 boost to a cause close to its heart.

Purdie Dished Ends, a spinning and metal forming firm, has presented a cheque to Airedale Hospital and Community Charity.

The donation is for the hospital’s Haematology and Oncology Day Unit.

“A loved one of a member of our team is currently receiving care on the unit and we felt it was really meaningful to give back to a service that is making such a difference to local people every day,” says Lisa Way, Purdie’s sales office manager.

“We are proud to support the cause and really pleased that our contribution will help the unit team to continue providing exceptional care.”

Carla Weatherall, for Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, says: “We’re incredibly grateful to Purdie Dished Ends for its generosity. Knowing this is a cause close to its heart makes the donation even more special.

“Donations like these help us to fund projects that go over and above NHS provision.”
