A NEW Starbucks drive-thru on the edge of Bradford city centre is nearing completion.
The global coffee giant will open on a long vacant site off Thornton Road, and the signage has recently been installed at the branch.
But there has, as yet, been no opening date announced.
The branch is one of a number of developments on the site – with a huge under construction low carbon energy centre looming over the new coffee shop.
Plans for a drive-thru restaurant next to the Starbucks site were recently approved by Bradford Council, and a planning application for a new data centre on the same site is currently going through the planning process.
And an application for new retail units and an aparthotel block on the neighbouring Listerhills Triangle was recently submitted.
The branch will be the latest in a wave of new Starbucks to open in the city.
Although the City Park branch recently closed its doors, a new Starbucks has opened in the Broadway Shopping Centre.
A drive-thru has opened in the Weaverthorpe Retail Park off Tong Street, and another is soon to open on Valley Road.
The Telegraph & Argus has asked the company when the two new branches will open, but the company said it had “no news to share” about any opening dates.
