A nursery group has installed solar panels to reduce its carbon footprint.
Muddy Boots Nurseries has completed installations across its sites in Gildersome, Morley, and Drighlington with installation carried out by Watt Solar Solution.
The project was supported by funding from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority through its Business Sustainability Support Grant Funding scheme.
Muddy Boots Nurseries said: “We are delighted to share that all Muddy Boots Nurseries are now partially powered by solar energy.
“As a nature-led early years provider, we continually seek meaningful ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
“The installation of solar panels not only supports more sustainable operations but also provides valuable learning opportunities for the children in our care, introducing them to renewable energy and helping them understand how caring for the planet can create a greener future for generations to come.
“Muddy Boots Nurseries would like to thank the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Watt Solar Solution for their support in helping us take this important step towards a more sustainable future.”
