Praise for expanding Keighley firm as new showroom proves a hit

A FAMILY-run Keighley lifts company is expanding.

A1 Access Lifts has extended its unit at Marley Mills, in Marley Street.

And a new showroom, which was officially opened earlier this year, is proving a huge success.

The new facility is designed to look like a living room, complete with two home lifts to give customers the option of experiencing the products in action.

As well as catering for people in their own homes, the company – which is spearheaded by brothers Andrew and Stephen Coppen – also supplies and installs lifts for a range of organisations and to serve public buildings.

It has recently secured major contracts with the Ministry of Defence, and to fit public lifts in Armley and Wakefield prisons.

Tribute has been paid to the firm by the town’s MP, Robbie Moore, who visited the showroom and was given a tour of the site.

He says: “Andrew, Stephen and the whole team at A1 Access Lifts have done an absolutely fantastic job creating this new showroom, which allows customers to see and experience their lifts first-hand before a purchase.

“The company is bringing forward innovative ways to showcase to customers that a lift within the family home, which helps with mobility issues, can be fitted in a manner that is respectful to the surroundings and is a great way to make life a lot easier.

“Thanks to accessible lifts that can fit into a cupboard-sized space, individuals are being given the freedom to age in their own homes while maintaining their independence, which offers less-mobile residents a much better standard of living and quite often the ability to stay in their homes for longer.
