When Bradford pub will re-open after its exciting makeover revealed

BRADFORD pub will feature a Mediterranean-inspired menu when it re-opens later this month after a refurbishment.

The Wyke Lion, on Whitehall Road, closed its doors in June to allow the makeover work to get underway.

Now those behind the new-look pub, named Ego at The Wyke Lion, have taken to social media to confirm it will open on Thursday, August 17.

A post by the firm on August 9 also revealed pictures of how the site looks following its Mediterranean makeover. The site has maintained its painted white look on the exterior.

The Ego at The Wyke Lion Facebook page posted: “The Wyke Lion has completed its stunning transformation and will be ready to open on Thursday, August 17.

“We cannot wait to welcome you all to our new home.”

In a Facebook post earlier this month, the team at The Wyke Lion thanked customers and said the pub is closing to make way for something “new and exciting”.

An application was submitted to Bradford Council’s licensing team on June 15 for a minor variation.

The premises and applicant name was listed as ‘Ego at the Wyke Lion/Mitchells & Butlers Leisure Retail Ltd’.
