Yorkshire Building Society and Citizens Advice help people in cost of living crisis

AN award-winning partnership to help people through the cost-of-living crisis is now available in the Bradford district.

The partnership between Bradford-based Yorkshire Building Society and Citizens Advice sees advisers from the charity hold free, confidential appointments in selected branches to support people with a range of issues, including accessing welfare benefits and debt advice.

The society’s branches on Bank Street in Bradford, Well Croft in Shipley and Low Street in Keighley will now host a Citizens Advice adviser one day a week to offer independent and impartial advice on a wide range of issues in private meeting rooms.

The service is available to all members of the public, not just customers of Yorkshire Building Society.

Alison Alexis, branch manager at Yorkshire Building Society in Bradford, said: “We recognise that many people in our community are in need of impartial help and advice around a wide range of challenges – perhaps now more than ever – so we’re really pleased to be a host branch for Citizens Advice advisers.”

Citizens Advice advisers are available by appointment on Tuesday in Bradford, Wednesday in Shipley and Monday in Keighley.
