Tyro Training
Tyro Training, Craven College’s business arm, delivers courses aimed at increasing business efficiency and performance. The wide range of courses on offer include mandatory training and those for improving staff development, motivation, morale or retention.
It’s their industry experience which sets Tyro’s trainers apart, plus they will deliver the training at our place or yours, whichever you prefer.
Free parking, local accommodation for overnight stays and discounts for group bookings are all available. Funding may be applicable.

Apprenticeships
At Craven College, we strongly believe that Apprenticeships are not only an invaluable first step onto a career ladder for young people but equally, an excellent opportunity for local businesses to grow and develop their own employees and create a more highly skilled workforce who can contribute to their future success.
If you are a small business, you may be looking for just one or two individuals to join your team and grow with you, whereas larger employers may be looking at implementing Apprenticeships schemes to maintain a flow of new talent to fit the needs of their development and succession strategies. In either instance, Craven College has many years of experience in offering high-quality Apprenticeship services to employers big or small and will tailor our approach to suit your needs.
Our highly experienced Apprenticeship team support employers right through from recruiting keen and enthusiastic local candidates to the achievement of their qualification. We will support you with advice on general employment and Apprentice conditions and visit you for review meetings every 12 weeks. An Apprenticeship Co-ordinator is always available to deal with any issue you may have and we guarantee a professional and prompt service.

Degrees
Did you know that Craven College has a team of highly qualified tutors who deliver excellent Degrees which can be studied on a part-time basis on one day per week?
If you are looking to support ambitious members of staff on a day release basis, our Degrees, delivered locally with small group sizes, plenty of support and excellent tuition from academics with industry backgrounds provide a no hassle, good value alternative to university study. Aviation, Business, Hospitality, Events Management, Computing, Animal Studies, Child Development, Garden Design, Graphics and Media Make-up are a sample of our subject areas.
We offer HNC’s, Foundation Degrees with an option to convert them into a full honours degree at Craven College or another college/university. To ensure all of our courses are industry-relevant, we write them in consultation with employers and also add key employment skills such as time-management, ICT and numeracy into your programme.
