Bradford Live to throw open its doors to public with two free events

MEMBERS of the public will be able to see inside Bradford Live at two free events next month before the official opening.

The venue will be throwing open its doors for a family open day on August 23, and an event called Bradford Live At Last: Bradford’s Big Bash on August 28

A spokesperson for Trafalgar Entertainment, operator of Bradford Live, said: “Yorkshire’s brand new £50 million refurbished live entertainment venue – Bradford Live – is throwing open its doors for two massive free launch events prior to the official opening weekend.

“The special events are a huge thank you to the people of Bradford for welcoming Trafalgar Entertainment to the city, and a big celebration of things to come.”

Family open day

The family open day will take place from 10am on August 23.

The Trafalgar Entertainment spokesperson said: “We welcome you to come and explore the building and see the amazing restoration that has taken place in this iconic venue as part of a fun-packed free family open day.

“The event will include access to all the venue’s event spaces and a chance for children to enjoy themselves with a treasure hunt, face painting and other activities.

“Local venue historian Mark Nicholson will be hosting talks about the venue’s rich history in the beautifully restored ballroom throughout the day.

“Come on down and have your picture taken on our historic stage or just relax with refreshments available from our bar and take a seat in our stunning auditorium.

“If you have special memories of the venue, we would love you to share them with us on the day.”
