Bradford business CEO named one of the UK’s most ambitious leaders

A Bradford-based CEO has been named among the UK’s most ambitious business leaders.

Lou Ellis-Frankland, who leads Mansfield Pollard, has been listed in The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders for 2025.

The national programme, now in its eighth year, celebrates the drive and impact of Britain’s top entrepreneurs and is backed by The Times and LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group.

Ms Ellis-Frankland said: “Being named in the LDC Top 50 is a personal honour, but it’s also a celebration of what we’ve built together at Mansfield Pollard and the pride we feel in Bradford.

“We are a business with deep roots and big ambitions.

“We’ve shown that when you combine innovation, resilience and a people-first mindset, you can drive meaningful change.”

She has doubled the company’s turnover since leading a management buyout in 2020.

Mansfield Pollard is on track to reach £75 million in annual revenue by 2030.

The company, which manufactures industrial air handling units, data centre cooling solutions, and acoustic control products, has a 150-year history and was named one of The Times Top 100 Places to Work in 2024.

Mansfield Pollard was the only Bradford business recognised in this year’s LDC Top 50.
