Bradford financial institution BDCU wins four major awards at Yorkshire ceremonies

A FINANCIAL institution has won four prestigious awards.

BDCU (formerly known as Bradford District Credit Union) won the accolades for its growth, leadership, and commitment to developing future talent.

At the Yorkshire Financial Awards in Leeds, BDCU was named “Small Financial Business of the Year,” and Ian Goodliffe was awarded “Director of the Year.”

The judges praised the institution’s performance and strategic growth, while Mr Goodliffe was recognised for his leadership and impact within Yorkshire’s financial sector.

He was commended for his dedication to both people and clients, as well as the vision and leadership that continue to drive the organisation forward.

The West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards further celebrated BDCU, naming it “SME Employer of the Year” and recognising apprentice Ariba Matloob as “Advanced Apprentice of the Year.”

This achievement highlights BDCU’s investment in skills development and career progression.

BDCU also sponsored the Professional Services Award at the event, with representatives presenting the award live on stage.
