A CHEMICAL plant is set to test its emergency siren.
Solenis, in Low Moor, will carry out the test at 10am and 8pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
The siren, which produces a sound of increasing and decreasing pitch, will operate for one minute on each occasion.
There is no need for members of the public to take any action.
The emergency services have been informed of the test.
Residents living within the public information zone around the Solenis site received a leaflet giving details of this test early in 2026.

However, if neighbours are new to the area or have lost the leaflet and would like a copy, they are advised to contact Solenis.
The test is part of the company’s obligations under the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 2015.
