Halifax mill complex chosen again as base for award-winning TV series

A Yorkshire mill complex is returning to the small screen as a production base for a third series of a comedy show.

Dean Clough in Halifax, West Yorkshire, is once again playing host to the team behind the award-winning comedy, High Hoops, starring Robert Webb and Isy Suttie, after serving as the hub for the show’s second series.

Production company Can Can Productions has leased 5,000 square feet at Dean Clough for storage, costumes, and set work, with filming set to begin next month.

Thea Burrows, head of production at Can Can Productions, said: “We are thrilled to start filming a third series for High Hoops, which has been hugely successful.

“Dean Clough provides an ideal base for production since our set film locations, such as Calderdale College, are so close by.”

Halifax has become a prominent location for international film and television production, with the BBC, Netflix, and Disney Plus among the industry giants to film in the area.
