AN award-winning partnership is serving up success.
Refreshment Systems, based in Bradford, has won Collaboration of the Year at The Vendies Awards for its work with Oakhouse Foods. The partners provide 24/7 access to hot, nutritious meals through vending technology.
The achievement highlights how vending machines can offer more than just snacks and drinks by delivering practical, on-demand food solutions for workplaces, healthcare facilities, and education sites.
Steve May, managing director of Refreshment Systems, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won Collaboration of the Year for our partnership with Oakhouse Foods.
“This project is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when two organisations work together with a shared purpose.”
The company was also highly commended in the Best Vending Project category for its Vendsmart technology, designed to improve the customer experience through smarter, more interactive vending solutions.
Mr May said: “We are also incredibly proud to have been highly commended for Best Vending Project for our Vendsmart technology.
“Innovation is a key part of what we do, and this recognition means a great deal to the whole team.”
Jacqueline Dillon, head of network operations and sales at Oakhouse Foods, admitted the award reflected the hard work and spirit of the project.
Ms Dillon said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised with this award.
“It reflects the determination and collaborative spirit of everyone involved, including our highly valued partner RSL, whose support and expertise have been instrumental throughout.
“Together, we’ve delivered something truly impactful, and this achievement is a fantastic acknowledgement of that collective effort.”
The Vendies Awards celebrate innovation, service, and excellence in the UK vending sector.
Mr May said the event was an opportunity to connect with others in the industry.
“It was fantastic to meet up with so many vending companies from across the UK and celebrate the brilliant work happening throughout the industry,” he said.
