TRANSDEV has secured seven shortlists across two national transport awards.
The bus operator, which runs services across Yorkshire and Lancashire, is in the running for honours at the National Transport Awards and the RouteOne Awards 2026.

At the National Transport Awards, Transdev subsidiary Keighley Bus Company is up for Bus Operator of the Year, while its SHUTTLE 662 service is shortlisted for Best Bus Service.
In 2025, Transdev invested £7.5 million in 16 battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eCitaro buses, now operating on the SHUTTLE 662 route between Keighley, Bingley, and Bradford.
The company says the new vehicles have improved comfort, accessibility, and reliability while reducing emissions equivalent to removing 516 average family cars from the road.
Transdev is also shortlisted in five categories at the 2026 RouteOne Awards, including Rising Star, Manager of the Year, and Engineer of the Year.
Keighley Bus Company is also a finalist in the Outstanding Customer Experience and Small/Medium Bus Operator of the Year categories.
Lucy Harris, central stores supervisor, was the first female storekeeper in the company’s history and was promoted to supervisor this year; she now manages more than 4,000 parts across northern England depots.
Louise King, head of finance, joined from a senior NHS position and recently helped secure funding for £11 million worth of new buses for Keighley and Blackburn.
Darren Bell-Walker, head of engineering, began his career in the British Army repairing Challenger 2 tanks before moving into commercial fleet management.
This year, he has streamlined repair and maintenance processes, improving vehicle performance and reliability.

The National Transport Awards will be held at Westminster Park Plaza in London on October 1.
The RouteOne Awards will follow on November 4 at The Vox, Resorts World, in Birmingham.
