Family-run Bradford district business enters new phase in journey with major rebrand

A FAMILY-RUN vanilla manufacturer has unveiled a new brand identity as it enters a fresh phase of growth.

Vanilla Etc, based in Keighley, West Yorkshire, has refreshed its branding to unify its retail and manufacturing operations under one name, moving away from its former Bonilla Madagascan branding.

The change marks the company’s development from its beginnings in 2011 into an established British vanilla producer serving retail, foodservice, and manufacturing customers in the UK and overseas.

Natalie Madgett, director at Vanilla Etc, said: “Bringing everything back under the Vanilla Etc name feels like a natural next step for us.

“It is the name our family business was founded with in 2011 and represents who we are today – a Yorkshire manufacturer with a real passion for vanilla, quality and looking after our customers.

“We manufacture our extracts and pastes here in Yorkshire, so we’re involved in the product from the raw vanilla right through to the finished bottle.

“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built as a family and we wanted our brand to tell that story much more clearly.”

Vanilla Etc produces premium vanilla extracts, pastes, and related products at its Yorkshire facility, with a focus on quality and consistency through in-house manufacturing.

The rebrand comes during a period of expansion for the business, which has recently grown its production capacity to meet rising demand from both retail and commercial clients.

The company has seen particular success with its alcohol-free vanilla range, which has gained popularity among consumers and manufacturers looking for high-quality, alcohol-free alternatives.

Ms Madgett said: “Receiving two Great Taste stars for our Alcohol-Free Vanilla Extract at the same time is particularly exciting.

“Demand for alcohol-free vanilla has grown significantly and we’ve invested in this area because we believe it has enormous potential.”

The alcohol-free extract, made from Madagascan vanilla at the company’s Yorkshire site, is Halal certified and suitable for a wide range of uses, from baking and desserts to beverages and dairy products.

Vanilla Etc also earned a 1-Star Great Taste Award for its Vanilla Bean Paste and Half Fold Vanilla Extract in 2026.

The business remains family-owned and operated, with founder Graham Bruce working alongside his daughters, Natalie and Alex.
