A well-known airline company has pledged its largest investment yet to support apprenticeship opportunities through its training scheme.
Jet2, based at Leeds Bradford Airport, has committed £1.5 million in levy funding for 2026–27 through its Appoint an Apprentice programme.
It is designed to help charity partners, independent travel agents, and suppliers recruit and develop talent through apprenticeship training.
Miriam D’souli, HR director at Jet2, said: “Feedback from the recipients of the Appoint an Apprentice scheme has been extremely positive, so we are delighted to be introducing it for a fourth year and pledging our largest investment to date.
“By expanding our offering, we can support even more charities and supply chain partners within the communities that we work and maximise the positive impact we are having on these organisations.”
Launched in 2023, the scheme has already pledged over £3 million in levy funding to partners.

RH Aero is one of the businesses to have benefited, supporting three employees to begin apprenticeships.
Engineering support assistant Sam Cottrell said: “The course has improved my knowledge of material properties, their applications and different testing methods as well as workplace health and safety requirements in other parts of the business rather than just in the office.”
