AN artisan burger company has revealed plans to open a restaurant in Saltaire.
Rumpus Artisan Burgers will be opening in a unit that is soon to be vacated after a popular local butcher re-locates to a bigger premises within the village.
The company is based in Slaithwaite, near Huddersfield, and uses meat from local longhorn cattle reared on its own farm.
Rumpus has this week submitted a planning application to Bradford Council that reveals its plans to open a branch on Bingley Road in Saltaire.
It is for a change of use of 22 Bingley Road from a butcher’s shop to a cafe.

The unit is currently occupied by Binns and Son’s butchers, which is in the process of moving to a larger unit further up Bingley Road.
The plans will include the installation of a “state of the art” kitchen and extractor fan equipment.
If approved the business will open between 11am and 10pm.
The Council is expected to make a decision on the planning application in November.
