HY Desserts Limited, which operated from Great Horton Road in Bradford, entered voluntary liquidation on July 8.
A meeting was held at 153 Yew Tree Lane, Yardley, Birmingham, on the same day, where Tauseef Rashid of Qimzen Advisory was appointed as liquidator.
A notice published in the London Gazette stated: “That the Company be wound up voluntarily and that Tauseef Rashid of Qimzen Advisory, Yew Tree Business Hub, 153 Yew Tree Lane, Yardley, Birmingham, be appointed as liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”
A creditors’ voluntary liquidation (CVL) is a formal process used to close a limited company, started voluntarily by the directors and approved by the shareholders, rather than the courts.
The directors decide the business is insolvent, call a shareholders’ meeting, and at least 75% (by value) of shareholders must pass a resolution to wind the company up.
An authorised insolvency practitioner is then appointed as liquidator, takes control of the company, stops trading (except where limited trading might help realise assets), sells the company’s assets and distributes the proceeds to creditors in a strict legal order.
Once assets are realised and reports are made on the directors’ conduct, the company is dissolved and removed from the Companies House register

The Bradford firm operated as an unlicensed restaurant and café.
The business listed its registered and trading address as 254 Great Horton Road, Bradford, BD7 1PU.
