City redevelopment site goes to auction with £150,000 guide price

A CAR park in a Bradford Conservation area – which has planning permission for a retail and residential development, will go to auction this week.

The small car park on Sunbridge Road will have a £150,000 guide price when it is listed at an Allsop property auction, being held online on December 17.

The site, in the Goitside Conservation Area, has Grade II listed buildings either side of it, and backs onto a derelict industrial building.

Flats and shop plan for Bradford Conservation Area approved

The 0.06 acre site is significant because earlier this year Bradford Council granted planning permission for the construction of a mixed use, six storey building on the land.

The approved plans included a 1,185 square foot ground floor shop and 25 flats above it, made up of 10 studio flats, 10 one-bed and five two-bed flats.

The auction guide says of the site: “The extensive shops and facilities of Bradford are readily available to the east within walking distance.”
