A West Yorkshire care provider has launched a new monthly staff recognition scheme designed to celebrate dedication, professionalism and teamwork across its care and nursing homes.
Czajka Care Group introduced the ‘Czajka Star Award’ earlier this year as part of a wider review of employee rewards and benefits aimed at recognising the vital role its team play in delivering high-quality care to residents.
The award is open to team members across all the group’s homes and departments. Each month, any member of the team that meets the award criteria is entered into a random draw, with the winner receiving a certificate and a £500 bonus.
The initiative is designed to encourage consistent professional standards, whilst also bringing together teams across the company’s different homes.
The first two awards for January and February were won by care workers from Brookfield Care Home, who were selected from the pool of eligible employees using a digital name generator to ensure fairness.
Each month, the winning team member, along with some fun facts about them, is announced across the staff appreciation boards at the homes; helping colleagues learn more about each other.
