Gaming festival returns to Science and Media Museum

YORKSHIRE GAMES Festival will be returning to The National Science and Media Museum next year, it has been announced.

The festival, which is in its sixth year, will feature a packed programme of talks, masterclasses and Q&A events featuring high-profile industry guests, as well as the return of the popular Let’s Play family weekend.

Serving as a bastion for the UK’s fast-growing games industry in the North, the week-long extravaganza is for developers, gamers and families alike, with a variety of events pitched at all ages and levels of interest.

Festival Director, Kathryn Penny said: “We are delighted to see the Yorkshire Games Festival return in person in 2022 after moving last year’s festival online due to Covid-19 restrictions. Next year’s festival will welcome a whole host of inspiring speakers working at the centre of the games world. As always, our Game Talks will encourage games fans of all levels of experience to take the leap into this fast-moving industry and equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to develop a successful career in gaming.”

The full programme of Game Talks speakers will be announced in the new year.

The event will take place from February 12th – 18th 2022.
