Incommunities launches ‘Days of Action’ to tackle litter and fly-tipping

A HOUSING provider is encouraging residents to help spruce up their neighbourhoods during a new series of community clean-up events.

Incommunities has announced a new series of ‘Days of Action’ events aimed at tackling fly-tipping, litter, and general environmental issues across neighbourhoods.

The programme launches on July 24 and activities will include litter picking, garden tidying, clearing alleyways, painting railings, and offering advice on recycling and food waste.

Patrick Collins, director of communities at Incommunities, said: “We all want to live in places that feel clean, safe, and cared for.

“Our Days of Action are a chance for people to come together and make that happen.

“You do not need to stay for the whole event.

“If you can spare 10 or 15 minutes, we would love to see you.

“Every bag of litter collected, every garden tidied and every conversation helps make the area better for everyone.”

The first event will take place on Friday, July 24, from 10am to 1pm on Woodhouse Drive in Keighley.

Events will follow in Holme Wood, Clayton, Batley, and Allerton over the coming months.
