Industrial unit plan for near school

AN industrial unit could be built on a vacant plot of land in Lidget Green.

A planning application for a large unit at the Junction of Northside Place and Northside Terrace, near Dixons Kings Academy, has this week been submitted to Bradford Council by Hafeez Javed.

The plans also include parking for 16 cars and two light goods vehicles.

In recent years two different plans to build industrial units on the site have been approved, but neither scheme went forward.

Plans to build housing on long-empty former Grattan site approved

Planning permission has since expired on both permissions.

This latest application says: “Our client is now ready to construct this unit.”

A decision on the planning application is expected in mid August.

Late last year Bradford Council granted planning permission for a large development further down the road.

Gleeson Redevelopments was granted permission to build 167 homes on the former Grattan Site at the corner of Northside Road and Ingleby Road.
