The Queens Hotel in Leeds has secured a second year of ‘gold’ recognition for sustainability efforts.
The accreditations come from Green Tourism and Green Meetings, acknowledging the hotel’s dedication to eco-friendly hospitality.
The hotel maintained high standards in areas such as environmental performance, resource efficiency, and conducting sustainable meetings and events.
This recent recognition adds to a growing list of sustainability awards for The Queens Hotel, with it having previously been recognised with Green Key and Greengage EcoSmart certifications.
After a £16 million refurbishment in 2021, the hotel integrated sustainability into its daily operations while preserving its well-known art deco design.
Innovative measures include smart utility and waste monitoring, AI food-waste reduction, and chemical-free cleaning systems.
The Queens remains a leader in promoting eco-conscious travel and sustainable conferencing.
