A BD5 golf facility has its grand opening later today.
GolfStudio19 is situated in Tong, at Alpha House on Coop Place opposite the Toby Carvery, and markets itself as delivering the “premium indoor golf experience in Bradford”.
It combines TrackMan simulator technology, real-time performance data, and coaching for every level.
They have also got PGA Golf Professional Mark McGeehan involved, and he will be down at the facility from 2 p.m. tomorrow, when the launch event kicks off.
Mr McGeehan, who has played professionally for 30 years, will lead the coaching going forward and can help amateurs make tangible improvements to their game.V
The tech at the venue allows golfers of all abilities to play world-famous courses, like Royal Birkdale, where this year’s Open is currently taking place, and practise all year round.
The GolfStudio19 team said: “Whether you’re an experienced golfer or trying the sport for the first time, GolfStudio19 offers a fun, weather-proof environment for practice, coaching, and social golf.
“We’re delighted to bring GolfStudio19 to Bradford and create a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy golf.”
Meanwhile, out on the course, the Bradford Union had four golfers who finished in the top 20 at this week’s Yorkshire Amateur Championship.
They were led by reigning Bradford Open champion Huey Cunningham, the Ilkley Golf Club teen coming 11th with three over par.

Richard Wheatley (Bradford), Peter Akester (Bingley St Ives), and Paddy Young (Northcliffe) were 14th, 19th, and 20th respectively.
Wheatley won the Bradford Open on three successive occasions between 2021 and 2023, he and Phil Wood the only men to achieve that feat since it was managed by the great Rodney Foster in 1962.
