New delivery business is approved

Planning officers have approved plans to open a new food delivery business on the edge of Bradford city centre.

A unit on Buck House, Buck Street off Leeds Road was the subject of a planning application submitted by a Mr Khan in August.

The application said the business would be for food preparation and delivery – and would not be a take away that allowed walk in customers.

62 square metres of the unit would be used by the new business.

The application said: “Food will be prepared and made on site which will then be delivered locally to customers. Customers are not permitted on the premises to order.”

Plans are refused over concerns of ‘over concentration’ of takeaways in Great Horton

The planned opening hours of the business will be  Tuesday to Sunday from 4pm – 11pm.

Approving the plans last week, planning officers at Bradford Council said if the business did want to operate as a take away a separate application would need to be submitted.

A condition of the approval is “The use of the premises for the purpose of hot food preparation shall be limited to delivery only. At no time shall individual customers of the food preparation business wait in, order or collect food from the premises.”
