Plan for shops and offices at city site

PLANS to demolish a bungalow and build a development of shops and offices in its place have been submitted to Bradford Council.

An application to re-develop the site off The Grove, at its junction with Birksland Street, has been put forward by a Mr Nadeem.

If approved, the property will be flattened to make way for a building made up of four ground floor shops, each with office space above.

Development of 12 industrial units is approved

It would create a total of 614 square metres of new business space.

The bungalow is part of the Clive Precious House site, which was used by the RSPCA until early 2018.

The site is in one of the city’s established employment zones, to the south of Leeds Road, up to Bowling Back Lane.

Much of the site has been sub-divided into a number of “micro-commercial units” in recent years.

A decision on the application is expected in February.
