Plans for 12 industrial units in South Bradford submitted

PLANS to build 12 industrial units in the South of Bradford have been revealed.

The units would be build on a vacant site, former railway land, as an expansion to Wharfedale Business Park off Shetcliffe Lane.

In total the scheme will create 1,392 square metres of industrial space in an area in which the application claims there is a “growing need” for such units.

As well as the 12 units there will also be parking space for 30 cars on the site.

The application, submitted to Bradford Council by Applelec, says: “The Units are to be advertised on the open market.

“The potential new users would hopefully allow local businesses to move into premises that cater to their needs.

“We have been made aware by local agents that this area has a growing need for commercial units.”

It says the development could create 24 full time and 12 part time jobs.

A decision on the application is expected in late September.
