A new employer programme is helping students in Bradford explore careers in banking.
Through Bradford Business Unlocked, employers are hoping to open doors into the financial services sector.
The scheme is led by SkillsHouse Bradford and includes immersive events and work immersion for students aged 14-16 and those who are post-16.
Yorkshire Building Society hosted a work immersion day and a banking services event at its Yorkshire Drive offices, partnering with Skipton Building Society, Santander, and NatWest.
Sasha Pauley, lead community manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said: “Bradford Business Unlocked is a fantastic initiative that helps young people in the city understand the breadth of opportunities available in financial services.
“West Yorkshire is a major hub for banking and financial services, and we want to make sure that local students see the potential for rewarding careers right here in their region.
“By opening our doors and giving students real-world experiences, we hoped to spark their interest and show them that the skills they develop today can lead to exciting futures in this growing industry.”
