TELEDYNE Defence & Space (TDS), a business unit of Teledyne UK, says it is honoured to have received a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2020 for Innovation.

The accolade for the Baildon firm is in recognition of the development of a flexible, low profile, power efficient payload for satellite communication.

This follows on from being awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2019 for International Trade.

“We are delighted to win such a prestigious award recognising our commitment to developing innovative solutions to help shape the future of space based communication networks connecting people around the globe,” said Daron Winspear, Site Director at Teledyne Defence & Space.

“To receive a second Queen’s Award in as many years is one of our proudest achievements and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our colleagues.”

Now in its 54th year, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queens Award emblem for the next five years.
