An awards organisation has announced ambitious expansion plans after appointing a new CEO.
Oceanic Awards, which regularly holds events in Bradford, has named Yasmin Mahmood as its new chief executive officer.
Ms Mahmood has also outlined plans to deliver more than 125 events over the next year.
This will include a return to North America, where the group had begun to expand before Covid-19.
Ms Mahmood said: “Oceanic Awards has been a huge part of my professional life for the past 18 years, and it’s an honour to now step into the role of CEO.
“I’ve seen first-hand how these events bring communities together, celebrate excellence, and create real impact beyond the awards themselves.
“I’m excited to lead the company into this next phase of growth, while staying true to the values that Oceanic Awards was built on.”
With her years of experience at Oceanic Awards, in senior management and leadership roles, Ms Mahmood brings a depth of experience to her new role.
The company plans to expand its reach both in the UK and internationally.
Oceanic Awards will also continue its charitable work, having raised nearly £1 million to date.
Ms Mahmood’s focus will be on growth while maintaining the community values.
