‘It’s a great location’: Travelodge opens another hotel in Bradford

The company, which operates more than 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain, has taken over the former Hotel Restaurant Campanile Bradford.

It is located on Roydsdale Way, on the Euroway Industrial Estate.

The hotel becomes the third Travelodge in Bradford – along with the sites on Valley Road in the city centre and Mid Point on Dick Lane.
Founded in 1985, Travelodge is Britain’s first budget hotel chain and is now one of the largest budget hotel chains.

Welcoming more than 22 million guests annually across the UK, Ireland and Spain, the majority of Travelodge hotels are located in major cities, towns and holiday hotspots as well as by airports and key business hubs.

The new spot is “ideally located between Bradford and Leeds, offering easy access to local attractions and transport links”.

A spokesperson for Travelodge said: “Culture enthusiasts can visit the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford or explore nearby Saltaire and the Brontë Parsonage Museum.

“Sports fans can enjoy its close proximity to Bartercard Odsal Stadium, home of the Bradford Bulls rugby league team.

“For business travellers, the hotel is well-connected to a variety of transport links, with the M62 motorway and Low Moor, Bradford Interchange, and Forster Square railway stations all nearby.

“Additionally, Leeds Bradford International Airport is only eight miles away.”

They added: “Travelodge is continuing to grow at pace and is committed to expanding its hotel network to offer more choice to its customers and play a key role in supporting local communities, through job creation across the UK.”

Tony O’Brien, UK development director for Travelodge, feels it is a “great location” and says the firm is targeting 300 more hotels in the UK this year.

He said: “We’re excited to officially open our Bradford South hotel.

“It’s in a great location for both leisure and business travellers and we can’t wait to welcome guests to the latest hotel in our UK estate.

“We now have around 600 Travelodge hotels throughout the UK and we’re targeting 300 more new locations this year, with 19 of these in the North West region.

“This will create even more jobs and give our diverse customer mix more choice and great value when visiting the North of England and the rest of the UK.”
