Bulls fill major management role for first time since traumatic liquidation

Bradford Bulls have appointed Sarah McCann as the club’s new, full-time marketing manager, the first role of its kind at the club since 2016, before their harrowing liquidation.

McCann will bring extensive experience within the marketing industry to the role, which began yesterday and the club say the appointment represents further evidence of their ambition.

Having previously worked at the Bradford Bulls Foundation, McCann has since gone on to gain valuable experience through roles at British Weightlifting, The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Active Bradford.

She told the official club website: “I am delighted to be joining the club as it continues its journey back to Super League.

“Born and raised in Bradford, I know how much Bradford Bulls means to the fans and the local community and I look forward to communicating that via our brand and marketing activity.

“This is a new challenge which I am very much looking forward to and I feel very privileged to be joining a club with such a rich history and passionate supporter base.”

Bulls’ chief executive officer Jason Hirst said: “Sarah’s appointment as our full-time marketing manager is significant as it’s another vital addition and welcome step in the club’s journey back to Super League.

“Being the successful candidate from well in excess of 100 applicants, Sarah brings tremendous experience and marketing expertise to our club and business

“Her initial and no doubt, continued focus will be to connect with our loyal fan base and local community to understand their needs and wants in relation to the Bradford Bulls, allowing us to grow our season ticket membership and matchday attendances.

“I’m sure all our loyal army of fans will join me in wishing Sarah every future success in her role, here at the Bradford Bulls.”
