A HEAD chef has been praised for his “dedication and leadership” after he was named Team Member of the Year at a hotel awards ceremony.

Connor Stowell collected the accolade and a £1,000 cash prize at the Cedar Court Hotels Team Awards 2024.

The event, held at their Bradford branch, was a showcase of Bollywood-inspired entertainment, featuring dancing, live music, and bespoke decor and staging.

The hotel chain said it was a night to remember for all staff members, celebrating their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

Mr Stowell, who has been with Cedar Court Hotels for just over a year, stepped into the role of Acting Head Chef at a critical time for the Bradford team.

“We are immensely proud of Connor’s achievement,” said Steve Collinson, Group Executive Head Chef at Cedar Court Hotels.

“His dedication and leadership have been vital to our success, and this award is a testament to his hard work and commitment.”

Reflecting on his win, Mr Stowell added: “I am immensely proud to have won this award. It’s quite emotional for me.

“Since I was a little boy, I’ve dreamt of being a chef, and to be recognised for my work in this role fills me with great pride.”
