An after-school learning and childcare centre in Bradford has won a national award.
Raising Explorers was named Small Business of the Year 2025 at the British Muslim Awards.
The award recognises the centre’s “exceptional contribution to the community” and its “unwavering commitment to supporting children and families through high-quality educational and enrichment services,” in the words of a spokesperson.
Raising Explorers provides after-school learning, homework support, sports clubs, holiday clubs, and four flexible madrassah services.
Project manager Sajid Rafiq said: “This is an incredible honour for us.
“To be recognised at a national level for the work we do in our local community is humbling and inspiring.
“We are so proud to represent Bradford and Leeds, and we will continue striving to give every child who walks through our doors the opportunity to thrive.”
Raising Explorers expanded to Leeds earlier this year.
A spokesperson said: “The team is determined to continue this journey of growth, bringing meaningful impact to communities through education and care.”
The British Muslim Awards is now in its 13th year.
The Business of the Year accolade is intended to acknowledge, in the words of a spokesperson, “exceptional leadership, innovation, and deep-rooted community engagement.”
